I have been fortunate to take several art classes and have learned a great deal from many artists along the way. However, my best teacher was my talented mother who was a self taught oil painter and nature lover. Play time meant exploring and creating. Being outside surrounded by nature’s gifts and playing with paint continues to bring me joy, solace, and sparks a passion to learn more. I hope my work gives a voice to the natural world and pops out to ask the viewer,
“Hey there, want to come out to play?”
When Mom passed she left behind several unfinished paintings. This is one she had started and I’ve finished.
